On the eighth day of January 1838, at the town of Lewiston, County of Niagara, Stephen Hamilton and Sally Ina Bart (Burt), both of said town of Lewiston, were married by me; and Luther Bart (Burt) and Leonard Bell of said town of Lewiston were present as witnesses at said marriage.

  

On the twenty eighth day of January 1838 in the town of Lewiston, County of Niagara, Peter Burt and (Keziah) (Deveray), both of said town Lewiston were married by me; and Henry (Deveray) and David Sutherland of said town of Lewiston, were present, as witnesses, at said marriage.

 

On the thirty first day of January 1838, at the town of Lewiston, County of Niagara, Oliver Udall and Hester Smith both of the town of Niagara in said county of Niagara were married by me; and Margaret Bell and Sarah Bell of said town of Lewiston were present as witnesses at said marriage.

 

On the twenty fourth day of February 1838 at the town of Lewiston, County of Niagara, James Thompson and Ellen Turnbull both of the West (Shore) of Beverly, Gore District, Upper Canada were married by me; and John D. McKenzie of the same place was present as a witness at said marriage.

 

On the third day of March 1838 at the town of Lewiston, County of Niagara, James A. Watson and Catherine Van (Riper), both of Dunville, Upper Canada, were married by me; and John Chubbock and William (Defield) of Lewiston were present as witnesses at said marriage.

 

On the seventh day of March 1838, at the town of Lewiston, County of Niagara, Hiram Bixby and Juliane Allen, both of said town of Lewiston, were married by me; and Charles Allen and Levi Hays of Lewiston were present as witnesses at said marriage.

 

On the 7th day of March 1838, at Lewiston, County of Niagara, (Ira) Allen and Rebecca Blass, both of said town of Lewiston, County of Niagara, were married by me; and Charles Allen and Levi Hays, both of Lewiston were present as witnesses at said marriage.

 

On the eleventh day of April 1838, at Lewiston, County of Niagara, Sylvester Smith and Salome Smith, both of the townships of Glanford, Gore District, Upper Canada, were married by me and Jacob (Degean) and Catherine Smith, of the said township of Glanford were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the twenty first day of April 1838, at Lewiston, County of Niagara, Frederick Smith and Catherine Vrooman, both of Chippewa, Upper Canada, were married by me and George W. (Linn) and Ellen McDowell of Tonawanda were present as witnesses to the said marriage.

 

On the first day of June 1838, at Lewiston, County of Niagara, Cornelius (Chip) and Lucy Cornwall both Grand River Swamp, Upper Canada, were married by me and Walter Durkee of Ridgeway, Orleans County, New York, was present as a witness to said marriage.

 

On the twenty second day of July 1838 at Lewiston, County of Niagara, James Patterson and Louisa Garlow, both of the Tuscarora Village were married by me and Alva Hill and John E. (Lashin) of Lewiston, Niagara County, were present as witnesses at said marriage.

 

On the twenty eighth day of July 1838 at Lewiston, County of Niagara, Conrad Read and Susan Bennett, both of Hamilton, Gore district, Upper Canada, were married by me and John B. Chubbock of Lewiston, Niagara County was present as a witness at the said marriage.

 

On the eighteenth day of September 1838, at Lewiston, County of Niagara, John Smith and Elizabeth (Uria) both of St. Catherines , District of Niagara, Upper Canada, were married by me, and George W. Wright and Margaret (Muiso/Uria) both of St. Catherines were present as witnesses.

On the 28th day of March 1839, at Lewiston, County of Niagara, John Bowman and Lydia Johnson, both of St. Catherines, Niagara District, Upper Canada, were married by me and William Johnson and Charity Bowman, both of St. Catherines, Upper Canada, were present as witnesses.

 

On the 1st day of May 1839 at Lewiston, County of Niagara, Thomas Lett and Sophronia Nichols, both of said town of Lewiston, were married by me and (Gad P.) Nichols and Elias Williams, both of Lewiston were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the 18th day of May 1839 at Lewiston, County of Niagara, (Joel) Kelsey and Jane Dennis, both of said town of Lewiston, were married by me, and Margaret Bell of Lewiston was present as a witness at the said marriage.

 

On the 22nd day of May 1839 at Lewiston, County of Niagara, (John) Litle and Dibby Dutton, both of (Hanover), Chautaqua County, were married by me and James Shockey of Lewiston was present as witness at the said marriage.

 

On the fourth day of June 1839, James Wilson and Harriet (King) both of Brantford, Gore District, Upper Canada, were married by me and George Millard of Brantford, Gore District, Upper Canada, was present as witness in the said marriage.

 

On the 13th day of June 1839 James Hannigan and Betsey (McGlinchey) both of St. Catherines, Niagara District, Upper Canada, were married by me and Henry Cleland Elizabeth Burnester, both of Thorold, Niagara District, Upper Canada, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the 24th day of July 1839 James Walton and (Sabina) Armstrong, both of the city of Toronto, in the province of Upper Canada, were married by me and Sarah Bell and Mary Leverett Bell, both of Lewiston, Niagara County, New York, were present as witnesses in said marriage.

 

On the 11th day of August 1839 Henry Murphy and Louisa Armstrong, both of St. Catherines, District of Niagara, and province of Upper Canada, were married by me and John Miller of St. Catherines, Upper Canada, was present as witness in said marriage.

 

On the 26th day of September 1839 Peter Kinney and Mary Graham, of the township of Vaughan, Home District, Upper Canada, were married by me, and John Williams of said township of Vaughan, Upper Canada, was present as a witness of said marriage.

 

On the 6th day of October 1839 Wilson McCollum of Bronson, (?) County, State of Ohio, and Julianne Shelters of Porter, Niagara County, State of New York, were married by me and (Abraham) Bell of Lewiston, Niagara County, was present as the witness at the said marriage.

 

On the 6th day of October 1839 Chester Gillet of Lewiston, Niagara County, State of New York, and Phoebe Rhoades of Pelham, Upper Canada, were married by me and Stephen Powell and Solomon Gillet, both of Lewiston, (?) were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the 13th day of October 1839 Charles Maloney and Mary (Ford), both of the town of Niagara, District of Niagara, and Province of Upper Canada, were married by me and William Martin and Maria Richards, also of Niagara, Upper Canada, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the 13th day of October 1839, Julius H. Burdick and Sally Ann Beach, both of the town of Lewiston, Niagara County, State of New York, were married by me and John Rich and Elizabeth, also of the town of Lewiston, were present as witnesses at said marriage.

  On the 22nd day of October 1839 Joseph Grovier and Harriet H. Bacon, both of the city of Toronto, Home District, Upper Canada, were married by me, and Margaret (Bell) of Lewiston, Niagara County, New York, was present as witness at the said marriage.

 

 On the 26th day of October 1839, William Hart and Sarah (Ann) Potter, both of St. Catherines, Niagara District, Province of Upper Canada, were married by me and Maria Dunn and Melissa Cornwall also of St. Catherines, Upper Canada, were present as witnesses at the said marriages.

 

On the 6th day of November 1839 Bernard Broderick of Queenston, U.C., and Hannah Daley, of Black Rock, Erie County, State of New York, were married by me and (Marget) Bell of Lewiston, Niagara County, New York, was present as a witness at the said marriage.

 

On the 1st day of January 1840, Benjamin (Sent) and Maria Ann (Bradt), both of St. Mary’s, township of Lowth, Upper Canada, were married by me, and Michael (Goller) of Lewiston, Niagara County, New York, was present as a witness at the said marriage.

 

On the 17th day of January 1840, Francis (Delair) of (Cambon), Niagara District, Upper Canada, and Mary McNorton of the township of Cayuga, Niagara District, Upper Canada, were married by me, and James W. (Smith) and Peter Delair, both of the township of (Cambon), Niagara District, Province of Upper Canada, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On this 18th day of January 1840, Charles Marshall and Lydia Catherine Hildreth, both of township of South Fleet, District of Gore, in the Province of Upper Canada, were married by me, and Sarah Bell and Leverett Bell, both of Lewiston, Niagara County, State of New York, were present as witnesses at said marriage.

 

On the 6th day of February 1840, William (Osmond) and Sally Robinson, both of the township of Grimsby, District of Niagara, Province of Upper Canada, were married by me, and Joseph Halsted and Sally Ann Baldwin, of the same place, were present as witnesses at the said marriage. 

 

 

On the 26th day of March 1840, at the town of Lewiston, the County of Niagara, Peter W. Williams and Sophia (Clear) both of the township of Thorold, District of Niagara, and Province of Upper Canada, were married by me and Nathaniel Leonard of the said town of Lewiston, was present as a witness at the said marriage.

 

On the 4th day of April 1840, at the town of Lewiston, in the County of Niagara, (Lovinus) N. Palmer, of Cape Vincent, Jefferson County, State of New York, and Jane Scott of Dunnville, District of Niagara, Province of Upper Canada, were married by me, and James Easton and Abraham Bairsto, both of Lewiston, County of Niagara, were present as witnesses at the said marriages.

 

On the seventh day of April 1840, at the town of Lewiston, County of Niagara, Charles Hill and Parmelia Barnett, both of St. Catherines, District of Niagara, Province of Upper Canada, were married by me, and John B. Chubbock and Rhoda Chubbock, both of Lewiston, County of Niagara, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the eighth day of April 1840, at the town of Lewiston, County of Niagara, Rufus Westover of the township of Grantham, and Elizabeth Burnetson of the township of Thorold, both in the District of Niagara, Province of Upper Canada, were married by me, and Joseph Cookes and John Simpson, both of Lewiston, County of Niagara, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the nineteenth day of April 1840, at the town of Lewiston, County of Niagara, John (Slingerland) of the township of Grantham, District of Niagara, Province of Upper Canada, and Catherine Bradt, of the township of Lowth, in the same district and province, were married by me, and Sarah Bell of Lewiston, County of Niagara, State of New York, was present as the witness at the said marriage.

 

On the twenty third day of April 1840, at the town of Lewiston, County of Niagara, Jacob (L.) Becker and Louisa L. Brown, both of the town of Lewiston, County of Niagara, State of New York, were married by me, and John Brown and Lydia Hewitt, both of the said town of Lewiston, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the 28th day of April 1840, at the town of Lewiston, in the said county, Jeremiah Clendanin and Dolly Clendanin, both of the township of Carter, Niagara District, Province of Upper Canada, were married by me, and Sarah Bell, of Lewiston, and Robert Nelson, of Grimsby, Niagara District, Province of Upper Canada, were present as witnesses at the said marriage. 

 

 On the 3rd day of May 1840, at the town of Lewiston, in the County of Niagara, John Cole and Paulina (Colbreath), both of Lewiston, in said county, were married by me, and George (Colbreath) and Rebecca (Colbreath), of said town of Lewiston, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the sixteenth day of May 1840, at the town of Lewiston, in the County of Niagara, Adam Hanagan and Agnes Richardson, both of Niagara, District of Niagara, Province of Upper Canada, were married by me, and Thomas Charles Read and Lewis Donnelly, both of Niagara, in the district and province aforesaid, were present as witnesses at the said marriage. 

 

On the nineteenth day of May 1840, at the town of Lewiston, in the County of Niagara, George (Gilssin) and Catherine Campbell, both of Toronto, Home District, Province of Upper Canada, were married by me, and William McCollum of Lewiston, Niagara County, State of New York, was present as a witness at the said marriage.

  

On the first day of June 1840, at the town of Lewiston, in the County of Niagara, John Phillips and Elizabeth Misner, both of the township of Grantham, District of Niagara and Province of Upper Canada, were married by me, and Jacob Tice of the same place said and Margaret Bell, of Lewiston, was present as witness at the said marriage. 

 

On this second day of June 1840 Thomas Brooks and Sidney Jewett, both of the township of Niagara, District of Niagara, and Province of Upper Canada, were married by me, at Lewiston, County of Niagara and State of New York, and Margaret Bell and Sarah Bell both of Lewiston were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On this ninth day of June 1840, Robert Moulton of Wainfleet and Mary Davidson of the township of Pelham, District of Niagara, Province of Upper Canada, were married by me in Lewiston, County of Niagara, State of New York, and Asa Moulton and Rebecca Moulton, both of the township of Wainfleet, Niagara District, Upper Canada, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

  

On this fourteenth day of June 1840 at the town of Lewiston in the County of Niagara, Mortimer Bacon, of Oswego, County of Oswego, State of New York, and Alvira Green of Lewiston, Niagara County, State of New York, were married by me, and Josiah Green of Lewiston and Alexander Robinson of Porter, in the said county of Niagara, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

  

On this fifth day of July 1840, Wellington (Cleavland) and Elizabeth (Deunis), both of St. Johns, township of Thorold, Niagara District, Province of Upper Canada, were married by me at Lewiston in the county of Niagara,__ and James (Deunis) and Margaret Lewick, both of said township of Thorold, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the 12th day of July 1840 at Lewiston in the County of Niagara, Robert Patterson and (Selorna) Dell both of the township of Louth, District of Niagara, Province of Upper Canada, were married by me and Peter McEnter and Nancy McEnter of said township of Louth were present as witnesses at the said marriage. 

 

On this ninth day of August 1840 at the village of Lewiston in the County of Niagara, (Orsemus) (Levarthout) and Margaret Angeline Service, both of Queenston, District of Niagara and Province of Upper Canada, were married by me and Archibald D. Ormsby and James (Levarthout), both of said Queenston, Upper Canada, were present as witnesses at the said marriage. 

 

On this ninth day of August 1840 at the village of Lewiston, in the County of Niagara, Rensselaer Stoddart and Anna Lewis, both of Alabama, Genesee County, State of New York, were married by me and Thomas O’Hearne and Margaret Bell, of Lewiston, Niagara County, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On this twenty fifth day of August 1840, at the village of Lewiston, James P. Wilson and Sarah Lane, of the Province of Upper Canada, were married by me and Milton Randall, of Lewiston, County of Niagara, State of New York, was present as a witness at the said marriage.

 

On this thirty first day of August 1840, at the village of Lewiston, Lyman (S.) Spencer and (Clavirda) (Gnout), of the township of Grimsby, District of Niagara, and Province of Upper Canada, were married by me, and Howard Blodger of said township of Grimsby, and James (L.) Fulton of Lewiston, Niagara County, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

  

On this 1st day of September 1840 at the village of Lewiston, the County of Niagara, Samuel Elsworth and Mary Lee, both of Queenston, District of Niagara, Province Upper Canada, were married by me and William Robbins of Queenston was present as a witness at the said marriage.

 

On this 7th day of September 1840 at the village of Lewiston, in the County of Niagara, James Lee and Abbe Elizabeth Richie, both of the township of Louth, District of Niagara, and province of Upper Canada, were married by me, and Joseph Huntsbury and Elizabeth Huntsbury, both of said township of Louth, Upper Canada, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On this 15th day of September at the village of Lewiston, in the County of Niagara, John Douglass and Sarah Hust, both of the township of Stamford, District of Niagara and Province of Upper Canada, were married by me, and George (Kitson) and (Hermonee) Knott both of said township of Stamford, Upper Canada, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

(Deunis), both of the township of King, Home District, Province of Upper Canada, were married by me, and James (T.) Fulton and Jeanette Fulton, both of Lewiston, County of Niagara, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

On this 24th day of November 1840 at the village of Lewiston, Jacob Winger and Jane Overholt, both of the township of Pelham, District of Niagara and province of Upper Canada, were married by me and Andrew (Slough) and (Cevilder) Thomas of the township of Thorold, in said District of Niagara, were present as witnesses at the said marriages.

On this 1st day of December 1840 at the village of Lewiston, Samuel Davis and Nancy (Lallie), both of the township of Saltfleet, Gore District, and province of Upper Canada, were married by me and Jeanette Fulton of Lewiston in said County of Niagara was present as a witness at the said marriage.

 

On this 6th day of December 1840 at the village of Lewiston, Hiram Chafa and Ellen Irwin, both of Lewiston, Niagara County, were married by me and Benjamin Cornell and Charles Defoe also of Lewiston were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

On the 5th day of January 1841 at the village of Lewiston, John (Silliman) and Minerva Chapman, both of North East, Pennsylvania were married by me, and Samuel Morehouse and Parmelia Morehouse, both of St. Johns, Niagara District, province of Upper Canada, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the 21st day of January 1841, in the town of Lewiston, Joseph F. Dennis and Harriet Raymond, both of Lewiston, Niagara County, New York, were married by me, and Isaac Webb and Charlotte Raymond, both of said Lewiston, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the 24th day of January 1841 at the village of Lewiston, Benjamin Cornell and Catherine McNabb, both of Lewiston, County of Niagara, State of New York, were married by me, and Mrs. Mary (Paige) and Miss Harriet Shepard, both of said Lewiston, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the 23rd day of February 1841 at the village of Lewiston, Parker H. Williams and Almira Johnson, both of the township of Willoughby, District of Niagara, and province of Upper Canada, were married by me and Mrs. Susan L. Bell and Miss Sarah Bell were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

 On the 11th day of March 1841 at the village of Lewiston, David E. Henry and Mary Dawdy, both of the township of (Clinton) District of Niagara and province of Upper Canada, were married by me, and William A Bowman and Angeline Cogswell the first of Pelham and the second of Clinton in the District of Niagara were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

  

On the 11th day of April 1841, at the Village of Lewiston, Henry Levalley and Mary Ann Daley, both of Cambria, Niagara County, were married by me and William P. Slocum and Anna Slocum, also of Cambria, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the 11th day of April 1841, at the Village of Lewiston, William W. Defield of Lewiston, Niagara County and Maria Hensdale, of Queenston, District of Niagara, Province of Upper Canada, were married by me, and George W. Case and George W. Rector, both of Lewiston, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the 27th day of April 1841, at the village of Lewiston, James Lacy and Nancy McMasters, both of Lewiston, Niagara County, State of New York, were married by me, and Margaret Bell and Sarah Bell, also of Lewiston were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

  

On the 4th day of May 1841, at the Village of Lewiston, Michael Helmes and Catherine Kinney, both of the town of Porter, County of Niagara, State of New York, were married by me, and James (T.) Fulton and Thomas O’Hearne, of Lewiston, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the 6th day of May 1841, at the village of Lewiston, George Raymond and Anna Maria (Ransier), both of Hamilton, District of Gore and Province of Upper Canada, were married by me, and John Stewart and (Diaderma) Stewart, also of Hamilton, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the twentieth day of May 1841 at the village of Lewiston in the County of Niagara, Daniel B. Grenville and Polly McCombs, both of the township of Thorold, District of Niagara and Province of Upper Canada, were married by me, and James Wiley and Charlotte McCombs, both of said township of Thorold, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

Slocum of Lewiston and Sabrina Edson of Cambria, in said County of Niagara, were married by me, and James H. Paige and Charles N. Slocum, both of Lewiston, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the thirty first day of May 1841 at the village of Lewiston in the County of Niagara, George Rowe and Margaret Murray, both of Queenston, District of Niagara and Province of Upper Canada, were married by me, and Owen (Dows) of Lewiston and James (McEwen) of Queenston were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the second day of June 1841 at the village of Lewiston in the County of Niagara, Robert Welch and Betsey Atkinson both of St. Catherines, District of Niagara and Province of Upper Canada, were married by me and Edward Rickhard and Alexander McLafferty both of Lewiston, Niagara County were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the eighth day of June 1841 at the village of Lewiston in the County of Niagara , Webster Powers, of Batavia, Genessee County, and Betsey Stewart, of Bethany, Genessee County, were married by me, and Caroline Bristol of Batavia and Asabel Lyon of Lewiston, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the twenty seventh day of June 1841 at the village of Lewiston in the County of Niagara, George (Hainen) and Mary Ann Levaney, both of the township of Lowth, District of Niagara, Province of Upper Canada, were married by me and James Easton and Abraham (H) Bairsto, both of Lewiston, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the fifth day of July 1841 at the village of Lewiston, County of Niagara, Russel Smith and Lavina Weaver, both of the township of Thorold, District of Niagara, province of Canada, were married by me; and Stephen Burns and Mary Ann Burns also of Thorold in said district of Niagara, were present as witnesses at the said marriage. 

 

On the twentieth day of July 1841 at the village of Lewiston, County of Niagara, Abraham Ferguson and Margaret Merkle, both of the township of West (Hamboro) District of Gore, Province of Canada, were married by me; and James (I) Fulton and Ava Baker were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the ninth day of August 1841 at the village of Lewiston, County of Niagara, (Merenius) (Dirnick) of Sackets Harbor, Jefferson County, and Rebecca Weaver of the township of Thorold, District of Niagara, Province of Canada, were married by me and Francis Weaver, of St. Catherines and Jane Meade of Thorold in said District of Niagara, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

  

On the twenty sixth day of August 1841, at the village of Lewiston, in the County of Niagara, James Wiley and Nancy Bailey, both of the township of Thorold, District of Niagara, and Province of Upper Canada, were married by me; and Joseph Britain and Sarah McCombs, also of Thorold, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the twenty ninth day of August 1841, at the village of Lewiston, in the County of Niagara, Samuel Markle and Agnes Maricle of the township of Hamboro West, District of Gore, Province of Upper Canada, were married by me; and Robert Markle and Walter Markle were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the first day of September 1841, at the village of Lewiston, County of Niagara, Henry Leavitt and Elizabeth Wiley, both of the township of Thorold, District of Niagara and Province of Canada, were married by me; and Johnson Parish and Thomas Wiley, also of Thorold, were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

On the fifth day of September 1841, at the town of Lewiston, County of Niagara, William Decatur, of the town of Porter and Jane Harker, of the town of Lewiston, County of Niagara, were married by me; and Richard Waggoner and Milton Randall were present as witnesses at the said marriage.

 

  On the sixth day of September 1841, at the town of Lewiston, County of Niagara, Joseph C. Morrell of the City of Buffalo, Erie County, and Nancy Helen Hewett of Lewiston, Niagara County, were married by me; and John Waggoner and David Collins, both of Lewiston, were present as witnesses at the said marriage. 

 

On the fourteenth day of December 1841, at the village of Lewiston in the County of Niagara, Peter Hendershot and Maria Catherine Evans, both of the township of Thorold, District of Niagara, Province of Upper Canada, were married by me; and Peter Moore, of Wainfleet, in said district and province, was present as a witness at the said marriage.

 

On the sixteenth day of December 1841, at the village of Lewiston in the County of Niagara, Moses Milwood and Mary Smith, both of Queenston, District of Niagara, Province of Canada, were married by me, and Susan L. Bell and Margaret Bell, both of Lewiston, County of Niagara were present as witnesses at the said marriage.
